The Latch Hook Covered Bridge project as of October 9, 2025

As of right now, my left and right panels for this latch hook covered bridge are complete. Which makes me very happy.

But I still have to connect them to a center panel.

Here’s what I have so far.

So what this entails is a third piece of canvas. I have to make the canvas seven blocks wide, and connect them to the right and left panels. I did that by stitching the blank canvas along those vertical lines. This way there’s one block for each left and right panel, one block that integrates between those panels and the center, and three panels for the center. 1+1+3+1+1 = 7.

Or, in other words … this.

So there’s 133 blocks between the two panels – 7 horizontal by 19 vertical. I just need to add the 13,300 yarns, then trim around the entire border of the rug, attach binding so that the edges don’t look frayed and crappy … and this will look fantastic.

Let me think. If I do at least one block a day, it’ll take 133 days. Give or take. And we factor in the binding and the other necessities … this could get done by February or March.

Just in time for Competition Season 2026.

And I’m totally fine with that.
